Badges

A badge means we checked one specific thing about a business. We don't inspect work. A badge isn't a guarantee or an accreditation.

• ID verified

  The person who runs this business has proved who they are.

• Insured

  The business sent us a current public liability insurance certificate and we checked it.

• Registered

  The business told us its registration number with a scheme such as Gas Safe, and we checked it on the scheme's own register.

Gas and electrical work

Gas and electrical services only appear in our directory from businesses with a current Registered badge for a matching scheme (Gas Safe or OFTEC for heating; NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA for electrical work).

Something wrong?

If you think a badge is wrong, reply to any email you've had from us with the business's name. A person will look at it and we'll withdraw the badge if it no longer holds.
