Insured
The business sent us a current public liability insurance certificate and we checked it.
What we checked
- The certificate names the business's trading name.
- It shows the insurer, the amount of cover (shown on the badge) and an end date.
- It is in date on the day we check it.
Who checks it
A member of the Fixture team checks the certificate by hand.
How often
When the business sends a certificate. The badge disappears by itself at midnight after the certificate's end date unless a new one has been checked.
What it doesn't mean
- We don't inspect work. A badge isn't a guarantee or an accreditation.
- We don't contact the insurer, and we can't tell you whether a particular claim would be covered.
- Public liability insurance covers injury or damage to other people or property — it isn't a warranty on the work.
Something wrong?
If you think a badge is wrong, reply to any email you've had from us with the business's name. A person will look at it and we'll withdraw the badge if it no longer holds.
