Registered
The business told us its registration number with a scheme such as Gas Safe, and we checked it on the scheme's own register.
What we checked
- The registration number is on the scheme's official public register (Gas Safe, OFTEC, NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA or FENSA) under this business.
- The badge links to the scheme's own check page so you can look it up yourself.
Who checks it
A member of the Fixture team checks the register by hand.
How often
When the business sends its number, and again when its registration card's date comes round (Gas Safe cards renew every year). The badge disappears by itself at midnight after that date.
Check it yourself
- Gas Safe register — gas boilers, fires and appliances
- OFTEC register — oil and solid-fuel heating
- NICEIC register — electrical work
- NAPIT register — electrical work
- ELECSA register — electrical work
- FENSA register — replacement windows and doors
- DBS register — criminal record checks for working in homes
What it doesn't mean
- We don't inspect work. A badge isn't a guarantee or an accreditation.
- A registration covers the kinds of work the scheme lists for that engineer — check the scheme's register for what they're registered to do.
- Gas and electrical work only appears in our directory from businesses with a current Registered badge for a matching scheme.
Something wrong?
If you think a badge is wrong, reply to any email you've had from us with the business's name. A person will look at it and we'll withdraw the badge if it no longer holds.
